- At Within Radius we grow and sell a range of seasonal herbs, including:
- French tarragon
- thyme (and lemon thyme).
Our herbs vary from season to season. Throughout the seasons we try to maintain a core group of herbs that we consider staples such as (but not limited to) dill, coriander, basil and oregano (seasonal), rosemary, mint and chives (all year). We also dry some of our herbs to intensify the flavour and, of course, extend their availability.
TeasWe are small-scale artisan growers using organic, chemical-free growing methods (please note, we are not certified organic). By avoiding the industrialisation of our food we are able to focus on quality rather than quantity.
- Our specialty teas are:
- turmeric medley
- wild rosella (when in season during winter)
- triple lemon (lemon verbena, lemongrass, lemon) and ginger
Peppermint: We dry only the leaves for use in our peppermint tea. This is a pure, robust tea that requires an infuser so it does not steep for too long (you will get up to three cups of peppermint tea from a small infuser).
Wild Rosella: Our wild rosellas create a vibrant, bright red tea containing phenolic compounds that act as antioxidants. This is a wonderful tea served hot or on ice.
Turmeric Medley: Made from our very own dried turmeric, ginger, apple, lemon and a small amount of pineapple, this tea is a winter warmer. Add a slice of fresh ginger or fresh lemon on a cold winter’s night to enhance different flavours in this tea. A dash of honey will add some sweetness and help bring out the sweetness of the apple.
Triple Lemon and Ginger: Our triple lemon and ginger tea is a combination of lemon verbena, lemongrass, lemons and ginger. It is highly prized by customers and sells quickly. This tea is dependent on the availability of lemons and when they are in season.
